Ben joined us from Shannon’s Fosters in February and is still figuring out that he is safe in our space. As soon as he lets down his guard, we will move him to the “available” category for adoption. He is a very playful and active young cat! He will need a patient adopter. He is most likely going to need at least a month or longer to relax in a new home.
Note: After three months with us, he finally started allowing some volunteers to pet him from time to time. He now allows some visitors to pet him too – sometimes. Ben still needs more socialization so that he will accept more handling and allow himself into a carrier. We have never picked him up in the entire time he’s been in the lounge. He is overdue for vaccinations and needs to be seen by a vet before we can make him available to go home. He will need a unique adopter who is experienced with cats and can help him continue to blossom and feel safe and secure.
