Hey friends, I’m Betty. I’m a year old and I was born with the cutest tail known to mankind; it looks like a corkscrew! When I arrived at the lounge with my mom and brother Ben, we were quite scared (the most fearful of any cats so far at the lounge), but we’ve settled in and started showing our personalities. I enjoy pets sometimes from my favorite volunteers and have even accepted a belly rub here and there when I’m feeling extra relaxed.
I’m the master of playtime and I may or may not have dismantled a few wand toys during play sessions. I’ve also chewed up quite a few stuffed toys. Sorry, not sorry! I enjoy the company of other cats, and I have main character energy, so the other cats I live with should be ok with taking a little direction from said main character.
What does my forever home look like? I’m flexible. I get along really well with my brother Ben, we “get” each other, and I would be happy going home with him. I would also be up for meeting a new well matched pal, and I sure as heck wouldn’t say no to being the main character forever in my home.
Note: in the time Betty has been in the lounge we have never picked her up. When she first arrived she literally tried to climb the walls if we even looked her way in her intake room. Gabapentin was required to get her into her carrier and to the vet this summer, and even then she needed a lot of patience from the staff. Betty needs a unique home with an experienced cat person who can continue working with her. She’s made huge strides and will eventually be a wonderful companion for someone!
