Fundraisers in November

Can you believe it’s already November? The year is flying by! Here are some things that are going on at the lounge this month to help us raise money for the cats…

Kitty Town Coffee Fundraiser: We are again partnering with Kitty Town Coffee and selling coffee. We earn between $5-$6 on each bag sold! To see the cat along and place your order please visit this form. Note that orders must be picked up at the lounge in Ventura and that orders must be paid for in advance.

Gratitude Tree Leaves: We have a beautiful wrought iron tree in our lobby and are filling it up with leaves to express our gratitude this season. Leaves are $2 each and can be purchased in the lobby or online. If you would like to purchase online visit our Donate page, make your donation, and include in the notes what you would like us to write on your leaves.

Holiday Market: Once again we are expanding what we have for sale in our lobby shop to help raise additional funds. As you think about holiday shopping for friends, family, teachers, and so forth please keep us in mind for unique, often handmade, gifts. We have items for humans and pets. Your purchases help support our mission!

Tarot Cards, Cats Who Paint, and More!

We have some fun things coming up in October…

All month long we will be selling raffle tickets for 4 items: 2 handmade quilts made just for us, an automatic pet feeder plus a $25 Sailor & Friends gift certificate, and a set of wall-mounted scratchers. You can buy tickets online or in person at the lounge, and the items are all on display in our lobby.

On Saturday, October 21st, we are offering two sessions of our pumpkin painting fundraiser. We provide the supplies, you bring your creativity! You’ll have 90 minutes to paint, enjoy some fall-themed snacks, and, of course, enjoy the cats. Sign up online now to reserve your space.

Additionally, our cats will paint for you on October 21st! If you’ve ever wanted your very own PiCATsso piece of art now is your chance. You can see all of the details here and reserve your artist now. We will be limiting the number of paintings done that day out of respect for the cats and their workforce demands.

Finally, on Sunday, October 29th, our friend Denise will be in the lounge for tarot readings. You can receive a 15-minute reading for yourself or for one of your pets. This is a fun way to gain insight and clarity. No reservations are needed specifically for readings but they will be first come, first served so we do encourage reservations for your lounge visit. We will be open until 5pm that day as well to accommodate a few extra visits, and you can reserve time from 4-5pm with the reading donation included on our Events page. Readings will be done for a suggested donation of $8.

Pumpkin Painting Fundraiser

It’s back! We’re hosting another pumpkin painting fundraiser on Saturday, October 21st. We are offering two sessions: one for ages 7 and up and one for ages 14 and up.
