When Sophie allows us to pet her she leans in and flops over – she really loves being pet! She still doesn’t let us pick her up but with time that will come. In her forever home we are sure she will be a loving companion. She enjoys playing with toys and gets along fine with the other cats. Her newest friend at the lounge is Alexandra. We think she’d be fine with another cat in her home but could be an only cat as well. She has youthful energy and a very beautiful coat!
Note: Sophie only available to go home with an experienced cat person, given her refusal to be picked up. Volunteers are working with her daily and we know her breakthrough in trust is coming! She adores being petted and just needs time to know that being handled is OK. She can be trained to get into a carrier on her own and we have started that process.
